2 Wochen Freiwilligenarbeit in Griechenland, ein Erfahrungsbericht von Margaux

First of all, we arrived on Friday evening, June 27. Once Nicolas had shown us the shelter and how everything worked, as well as the tasks we had to carry out, we started working, in different shifts.
Either in the morning from 8am to 1pm (or 7am to 2pm) or in the afternoon from 1pm to 7pm. We had 2 days off in the week that we could choose.
What I liked most was the contact with the dogs, we had access to all but 2 of the cages and when we had free time, even if the work was substantial, we could enjoy the dogs.
Our main tasks were checking the water in the bowls and making poop rounds, but we also cleaned the cages, the paths between the cages and the corridors.
Sometimes, however, we had different tasks, taking the dogs out to give them to visitors, and even walking them ourselves. On the last day, I was able to help the photographer take photos of the dogs to showcase them on the shelter’s instagram.
We finally left on Wednesday, July 16.

Thanks for the great experiance.
